Human behind Object

Object Oriented is project of ceramicist Ola Chwilczyńska.

Born in Kraków, Poland and currently living in Naarm / Melbourne.

Object Oriented was created with a focus on functional vessels and drawing inspiration from Ola’s Polish background.

Her latest work is playing with the legacy of Polish constructivism and especially work of Katarzyna Kobro, and bringing back her memories of 90’s Poland - transitional period between communism and exploding, confused capitalism.

About Objects

Each piece is handmade by Ola on the wheel, using custom blend of Australian clays, handpainted and fired twice.
This means that every piece is unique and there may be slight colour and size variations between the pieces.

All the glazes used on tableware are foodsafe. Some of the glazes used on the exterior of vases and planters may not be foodsafe.

How to care for your Objects

We recommend hand washing your wares to make them last longer (having said that, occasionally chucking them in the dishwasher or microwave will not affect them!).

Please handle them with care - ceramics are fragile by nature.
